Performance
Apex Performance
A recovery and training-load dashboard that turns wearable health data into personal-baseline indicators for day-to-day training decisions.
- Wearable connection
- Personal baselines
- Recovery and load intelligence
- Automated refresh
What needed solving
Athletes and coaches often have more wearable data than useful decision support. Exports are manual, baselines are vague, and readiness claims are easy to overstate. The need is a working system that connects to real sources, respects credentials, and turns noisy inputs into something actionable without pretending to be clinical.
What we built
Wearable connection
OAuth-connected health sources with private token storage — no manual exports.
- — OAuth
- — private tokens
Personal baselines
Indicators relative to the athlete’s own history — not population averages or clinical claims.
- — personal reference
- — limited-data states
Recovery and load intelligence
Apex Readiness and Apex Load as practical training decision support.
- — Apex Readiness
- — Apex Load
Automated refresh
Scheduled refresh with honest handling when signals are stale or missing.
- — scheduled jobs
- — missing-data handling
Engineering
Constraints
- OAuth and third-party API dependency (Google Health / Fitbit-derived data)
- Private token persistence
- Scheduled refresh rather than manual exports
- Timeseries signals that can be incomplete or stale
- No medical, clinical, diagnostic or injury-prevention claims
Technical substance
The hard engineering is the integration surface: OAuth, secure credential storage, scheduled refresh and derived indicators that stay meaningful when data is incomplete. The product has to remain trustworthy when a sync fails — not only when every chart is fully populated.

Current state
Live working product. Apex Load and Apex Readiness remain personal-baseline-relative indicators only.
